Tons of contaminated soil were removed from the intramural field and by the Child Development Center, where elevated levels of arsenic exceeding 3,000 ppm were detected.

EPA says anything over 43 ppm causes an increased cancer risk.

Elevated perchlorate levels were recently detected in a monitoring well between Watkins and Kreeger.

Some believe there is another burial pit under or near Watkins.
